そして、著者が３年前に提唱したIT業界の「マーフィーの法則」を取り上げています。

1. 最先端の技術を使い、これまで不可能だった新しい機能を実現する

2. NTTや日立など、多くの大企業が参入し、大規模な実証実験が行なわれる

3. 数百の企業の参加するコンソーシャムによって標準化が進められる

4. 政府が「研究会」や「推進協議会」をつくり、補助金を出す

5. 日経新聞が特集を組み、野村総研が「2010年には市場が**兆円になる」と予測する


というもので、現在の電子出版の状況を見てみると、この法則にぴったりなんだということでした。

　この法則に、あてはまっているから失敗するかどうかはわかりませんが、電子出版を何故するかという目的が全く見えてこない、ただただ、お金と企業存続でしかないということが、日本の大きな企業でも如実に表れて居るにすぎないのだという気がします。
